Gwen Stefani was being Single White Female’d by the nanny Mindy Mann

This week’s Us Weekly cover story is all about Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani and when their marriage really went to hell. According to Us Weekly’s sources (Gwen’s publicist?), Gavin had been having a three-year affair with one of their nannies. Us Weekly identified the nanny as Mindy Mann, and you can see her in photos that we posted back in 2012. Sources allege that Gavin had been carrying on with Mindy before, during and after Gwen’s last pregnancy and that Gwen found about it in February, when another nanny told Gwen about some suspicious emails on the family iPad. And now Us Weekly has released another piece of info: apparently, Mindy was Single White Female-ing Gwen, copying her hair, outfits, meals, etc. Yikes.

Even before Gwen Stefani allegedly confronted ex-husband Gavin Rossdale about disturbing text messages and photos she discovered between him and their nanny, Mindy Mann, back in February, there were warning signs of things to come, a source tells Us in the latest issue of Us Weekly. Stefani, 46, and Rossdale, 50, first hired Mann back in 2008 on the recommendation of friends. It didn’t take long, however, for Stefani to see that something was off about their new hire.

“If Gwen would eat something or do a workout or get a new handbag, Mindy would do the same thing,” the source tells Us. “Gwen thought it was weird.”

More than that, however, the source says Mann also “began to post pictures on social media dressed in a similar way to Gwen.” (The blonde-haired Australian shared a selfie back in 2013 that showed her platinum locks swept back in a black bandanna, just like one of Stefani’s red-carpet looks.) According to a source, Stefani became suspicious when photos of the Bush rocker and Mann emerged in November 2012, with Rossdale touching their nanny’s backside as they hiked with two of the couple’s three sons, Kingston and Zuma, in L.A.

But when she found naked photos Mann sent to Rossdale, she confronted her husband, who finally admitted to a three-year affair with the family help, sources tell Us. The couple announced that they were pulling the plug on their 13-year marriage in August. Stefani’s rep could not be reached for comment, and Rossdale’s rep declined to comment.

If the confrontation happened in February, why did they wait until August to pull the plug? Were they trying to work it out? Did Gwen still think there was something worth salvaging? As for Nanny Mindy… she sounds a bit like LeAnn Rimes. Some women are like that and by that I mean, some women are total nutjobs. Why in the world would you work as a nanny for a celebrity couple, openly Single-White-Female the celebrity woman and then bang the celebrity dude? Is it a power trip thing? Or is it just “nutjob”? Oh, the Daily Mail got some photos from Nanny Mindy’s social media and they did side-by-side comparisons. Yeah, Mindy really was aping Gwen’s style.

Oh, and sources told Access Hollywood that Gavin left Gwen in the hospital (after she had given birth to Apollo) so he could fool around with Mindy. And Gavin and Mindy would bang on his tour bus after the kids went to sleep. Meanwhile, “sources” tell Page Six that Gwen is relieved that this story is out, because I guess we’re supposed to believe that Team Gwen didn’t release it?
