Lewis Marc Capaldi was born on October 7, 1996, in Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland, He is the youngest of his parents’ four children. He has Italian and Scottish origins.

On October 20, 2017, Capaldi released his debut EP, titled “Bloom,” just before the hit “Bruises.” Malay, a producer who has won a Grammy Award, collaborated with him on the EP.
After “Bruises” and the first EP became a hit, he received invitations to open for a number of well-known artists, including the lives of Rag’n’Bone Man in November 2017, Milky Chance in January 2018, Niall Horan in March 2018, and Sam Smith in May 2018.

He had his fourth headline tour in the UK and Europe, where he performed in front of sizable crowds, continuing his solo career. He also performed at a number of very well-known festivals over the 2018 summer, including Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Firefly, Mountain Jam, Osheaga, Reading & Leeds Festival, Rize, and TRNSMT.
