A 101-year-old Norman Milton Lear, was an American screenwriter and producer. Norman Lear produced, wrote, created, developed over 100 shows. Norman Lear was born in New Haven, Connecticut, in the United States, on July 27, 1922 and passed away in Los Angeles, California, U.S, on December 5, 2023. Maude was one of the films Norman Produced. Maude is an American sitcom television series that was originally broadcast on the CBS network from September 12, 1972, until April 22, 1978. The Jeffersons (1975-1985, God Times (1974-1979) were also the films Norman Lear produced. Norman Lear served in the Mediterranean theatre as a radio operator and gunner on Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bombers with the 772nd Bomb Squadron, 463rd Bomb Group of the Fifteenth Air Force.
Norman Lear created his first television series, a half-hour western for Revue Studios called The Deputy, starring Henry Fonda.
