American rock duo who are recognized for their signature steel-string acoustic guitar playing and close harmony singing. Their 1957 single "Bye Bye Love" become a number-one hit, and they followed up its success with the hits "Wake Up Little Susie", "All I Have to Do Is Dream", and "Problems." They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.
