Eric Tévenet is an osteopathic physician who is known widely as the husband of a renowned fashion designer and entrepreneur born Anne Paloma Ruiz-Picasso y Gilot and mostly known as Paloma Picasso, born on April 19, 1949. The jewellery designs Paloma Picasso made for Tiffany & Co. are among her most well-known works, along with her signature smells.

She is the offspring of Pablo Picasso and Françoise Gilot, a painter. The insignia her father created for the World Congress of Partisans for Peace, which was held in Paris the same year Paloma was born and can be found in many of her father’s works, is linked to the name Paloma (Dove).

Many of her father’s works, including Paloma with an Orange and Paloma in Blue, feature Paloma Picasso. Paloma Picasso started her work in jewellery before being hired as a costume designer in Paris in 1968. She made some necklaces using rhinestones she obtained at flea markets, but some of them received negative feedback. The jewellery designer felt confident enough to pursue formal study in the industry after this early success.
